BOOTIQ partners with Tableau and expands its team of specialists

Bratislava, 3 November 2020BOOTIQ, a technology company that creates complex IT projects for well-known corporations and start-ups, is strengthening its position in business intelligence (BI). It has recruited new team members and entered into a partnership with Tableau.

The latter develops a platform for data interpretation and visualisation and rapid real-time reporting.

BOOTIQ first used it for internal needs and gradually started deploying it with its clients. Of the total number of implementations, more than 30% of new projects currently use Tableau. The partnership is expected to improve the delivery of this BI product to clients and grow a joint business. Salesforce, which recently bought Tableau, is also partly involved in the new opportunities.

“We see a huge trend in the use of business intelligence that will not pass virtually any digital company shortly – looking at your data through the eyes of a machine is an essential prerequisite for making predictions and strategic planning in an era of accelerating digitalisation. This year at BOOTIQ, we have received dozens of orders from new and existing clients who wanted to use BI to optimise their business. For us, the partnership with Tableau means another opportunity for business growth and strengthening our competencies in BI, where we are also continuously expanding our team. Thanks to this, we have already gained our first clients from corporations or members of global groups at the beginning of our cooperation,”

says Boris Zovčák, COO of BOOTIQ.

BOOTIQ has been providing BI for Slovak DPD, Euromedia, Slovak IT wholesaler Asbis, Astratex or Škoda Auto for a long time. “Despite the initially simple goal, when deploying business intelligence, we usually get to more complex strategies, data optimisation, recommending appropriate metrics for tracking and KPIs. Thus, the cooperation is focused on tracking actual performance and efficiency,” adds Boris Zovčák.

BI is a clear trend: BOOTIQ will strengthen its team and constantly recruit new specialists.

Thanks to its partnership with Tableau, BOOTIQ also has access to new leads and is fundamentally strengthening its team of specialists. Filip Mejzlík from Kebooly recently completed this, and together with the head of the BI department, Lukáš Kouřil, it now forms its core. BOOTIQ currently has over 350 developers and other technology experts in 12 offices in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

The Tableau solution has many applications but primarily helps companies with data analysis, interpretation, and visualisation. It works flexibly on the cloud or servers. It offers three license levels: primary, which works with filters and report visualisations, and the highest, which allows more advanced data work and the addition of new data sources.
