Liferay:
LIFERAY is a framework for creating a portal, Intranet, Extranet, or community site. It fulfills the role of the central system. Integrating with the open source CMS / DMS system, Alfresco provides a powerful business platform. Liferay fully supports Web 2.0. and is open source – its development is transparent, driven by client requirements. It is available in the free “community” version and in the Enterprise version. The portal is free “out-of-box”, with a large number of applications (portlets) – for example the editorial system, bulletin board, wiki, calendar, rss-feeds. blog, forum and discussion .. Liferay is one of the most widely used portals for enterprise solutions across many segments, with around 250,000 deployments across the globe.
